n July 28, 2006, Gibson was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) while speeding in his vehicle with an open container of alcohol. He then started yelling racial slurs to the officer. This was his 2nd incident involving drinking and driving. Punishment? Fine and a slap on the wrist.
